DOULA SERVICES

I have had the privilege of witnessing the sacred postpartum time as a newborn photographer and am now I am excited to begin offering postpartum doula support to families in Portland! Doula support can be combined with newborn photography for an all encompassing service. See below for packages.

What is a postpartum doula and why should you hire one? I believe it is important for the birthing person and baby to have support that is beyond their partner or co-parent. This is because the family unit is undergoing its own profound shift that greatly benefits from outside support especially within the first three months after birth. The support that comes from family & friends is not always available or sufficient, but a postpartum doula is trained to tune into the unique needs of the recovering mother, baby, and family unit. Each postpartum visit will address whatever pressing matters are at hand such as sleep and rest, feeding, emotional processing, home organization, meal prep, and more.
